Hokey acting put a gripping thriller. Really enjoyed this one.
My own review of The Ghost Writer, last April: "Slightly listless adaptation of Robert Harris’ political thriller The Ghost (oddly, some posters still use that version of the title), with Ewan McGregor as the eponymous hack hired to spruce up the memoirs of Blairalike ex-premier Adam Lang (Pierce Brosnan). Director Roman Polanski gets the tone right, but – like the novel – the tension is uneven."
